Basic Grammar important for job exams

 

Basic Grammar :Part One

1. Infinitive = to + v.base form

Example : I love to play . 

2. Infinitive Phrase = to +v.base form+ word/words.

Example : He helped to build the roof.

3.Gerund = verb+ ing ( acts as a noun)

Example :Walking is good habit.

4.Present Participle = verb+ ing ( acts as an adjective & verb)

Example : The students saw their teacher coming. 

5. Past Participle=  verb.Past Participle Form/ V3 ( acts as an adjective / verb)

Example : I got the letter written by you.
